The human form, especially the face, has always inspired my work and I hope to capture the personality of the subject as much as a likeness. I prefer to begin a painting traditionally, first sketching in charcoal and then building up a tonal foundation of glazes, before adding colour more freely and instinctively. Commissions welcome.
