Rob Ashdown

Rob's work is a mixture of figurative studies and abstract compositions, usually of multiple smaller works into larger scale pieces.

Recent work is centered on the reflective qualities of ink and paint and draws influence from many areas including optical art, geometry and architecture.
Combined with a love of colour, pattern and mathematics, I create larger scale pieces which invite the viewer to interact. These are technically demanding pieces, many of which are designed to change depending on the viewing angle and lighting conditions.
