I have an eclectic creative practice and enjoy working with mixed media and combinations of materials. An art education from GCSE to MA has allowed time for research and experimentation within a variety of art and craft sectors including textiles, fashion, paper, photography, graphics and book binding/making.
I have been involved in producing art and craft pieces for as long as I can remember and have always been excited by challenges and new ways of working. I am currently working on a range of printed textiles to be used in fashion accessories, but in the past, my work has centred on applied art pieces for exhibitions and window displays both nationally and internationally; themes were often based on creating pieces of art inspired by everyday functional objects such as footstools, shoes and tea pots.
As well as running my own creative practice, I work as an education and participatory artist in a variety of settings. For more information please visit my blog.
