This once a year opportunity gives open access to explore a working artists' studios. With almost 50 studios and nearly 60 artists, our building is packed with creative activity and experimentation. Our gallery exhibition takes face//place//space as its theme, exhibiting the best work of the BAS artists.

A display of painting, drawing and sculpture produced by students from our school room classes. Curated by Sue Larner.
COMMON ROOM

work and sketches made during a recent trip to Aix-en-Provence by
fifteen of our studio artists and tutors. Curated by Brian Elwell.
COMMON ROOM CAFÉ
Yummy cakes, tea and coffee from 11am - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Provided by Crumbawumba.

FREE WORKSHOPS/TASTER SESSIONS

11am - 2pm Studio L13
Join experienced printmaker Carole Tonge - see and handle collagraph plates Studio L13 and watch as a textured plate is printed.
2pm - 3pm Studio U12
Learn to make coasters from recycled china, glass and found objects with Funky Art House - a taster of their weekly ‘Homemade' course.
Sunday
1pm - 1.30pm Schoolroom
Poppy James has worked with egg tempera for over ten years. Join her as she demonstrates the mixing of egg tempera paints from powdered pigment
and egg yolk whilst chatting about working with the medium.
2 - 4pm Studio L13
Come and see Carol Tonge demonstrate drypoint printing, the age-old intaglio process. This is the ideal opportunity to see Carole's facilities and chat about her printmaking classes.
