Chris Hill

I started my career in advertising at the age of sixteen in a studio, working for the advertising agency Armstrong Walden, and later at Ogilvy & Mather as an art director.
During this time, I exhibited my paintings in the Royal Institute, the Royal Watercolour Society, the Royal Academy, Roland Browse & Delbanco, and the exhibition 'Artists of Fame & Promise' in Leicester Gallery, London.
I was commissioned by London Transport to paint two posters for their Country Walks series for the London Underground.
I left advertising in the late 60s to paint, but eventually returned to it, and formed my own design group, Baker Hill, which I ran for thirty years.
Since ending my design group, I have been painting.
