Carole Anne Tonge

As a fine artist and printmaker I take landscape, both rural and urban, as a starting point for my work. I seek to explore man’s less than benign impact on his surroundings. By working from direct observations, I hope to record a visual social history showing both where we are, and the threads that tie us to the past. I am currently working on a project entitled “Human Traces” that uses images taken from historic maps.
